About

I started leather working in 2017 when I made a collar and leash for my dog, Murphy. I was hooked. I love creating things that people would use with my own hands. I started making other things, like fly fishing gear, wallets, tote bags, purses and more. I started a small Etsy store to pay for materials and named it Bird Dog Leather after the dog that helped start it all. 

Eventually I started a new hobby: DnD and tabletop gaming. My leatherwork shifted to dice bags, notebook covers and trays.

The things I love most about leatherwork are making things I use everyday, the process of constantly striving to improve, and the great community of other leather crafters.
